Bonnie's Nest Too is where we go to slow down. It sits at the end of a quiet road in the foothills southwest of Reno, with sagebrush out front and the Sierra Nevada filling every west-facing window. The great room has a two-story stone fireplace, a long table that seats ten, and a kitchen big enough for two cooks who don't agree.
Four bedrooms sleep eight comfortably: a king suite on the main floor, two queens upstairs, and a bunk room the kids fight over. Out back there's a hot tub, a gas fire pit, and a deck you'll end up on every evening. In winter, Mt. Rose ski resort is 30 minutes away; in summer, Lake Tahoe's beaches are about 45.
Fifteen minutes to downtown Reno and midtown's restaurants, 30 to Mt. Rose, 45 to Incline Village and Sand Harbor. Exact address is sent with your booking confirmation.
Our other home overlooks Banderas Bay in Puerto Vallarta, with a private pool and the sand a short walk away.
